The Wanting Seed
The Wanting Seed is a dystopian novel written by the English author Anthony Burgees. The novel takes place in Great Britain, where the problem of human overpopulation is causing the government to take some measures to be able to control it. Because of human population growth, the characters are living in a world where controlling human population by any measure is more important than human emotions as Derek said to Beatrice-Joanna, “some things are happening which are far more important than love. Matters of life and death” (Burgess 33).
